The Noble Qur’an speaks of Allah’s prophets (PBUT) in the most eloquent manner as it praises them and calls all humans to believe in them all.
The Qur’an preaches the following:
(O Muslims!) Say: ‘We believe in Allah and that which is revealed unto us and that which was revealed unto Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, and the Israelites, and that which Moses and Jesus received, and that which the (other) prophets received from their Lord. We make no discrimination between a prophet and another, and to Allah we have surrendered.’
Qur’an 2:136
The Qur’an also said:
Prophet (Muhammad) believes in that which has been revealed to him from his Lord and (so do) his followers. Everyone believes in Allah, His angels, His scriptures, His prophets, – There is no discrimination to be made between a prophet and another. The Muslims responded to this instruction saying: ‘O Allah! We have heard and we obey. (Please grant us) Your forgiveness, our Lord! Unto You is our return!
Qur’an 2:285
The Qur’an also commands:
Believe in Allah and His prophets!
Qur’an 3:179
The Qur’an also states:
Whoever disbelieves in Allah, His angels, His books, His messengers, and the Last Day has certainly gone far astray.
Qur’an 4:136
Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) has taught that the belief in Allah’s prophets (BPBUT) and scriptures is an integral part of the Islamic faith (Al-Bukhari 50 and Muslim 9).
Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) instilled in the hearts of his followers the love and respect of Allah’s other prophets (PBUT), and asserted the obligation to believe in them all (PBUT), and defend them all (PBUT), and refute allegations against them all (PBUT). Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) repeatedly quoted Allah’s prophets as good models of righteousness to be emulated. One of the Prophet’s most amazing statements about his relationship with the other prophets (PBUT) is set in the following terms:
My relationship to the other prophets, who came before me, is like that of a house whose owner built nicely and beautifully, except for an empty place of one brick in a corner wall of the house. The people who came to visit the house would go around it and wonder at its beauty, but say: ‘Only if that empty place in the corner wall of the house were filled with a brick! So, I am to the prophets just as this brick is to the house. I am the brick and I am the last of Allah’s prophets.
Al-Bukari 3535 and Muslim 2286/22
Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) also teaches:
Do not discriminate between Allah’s prophets.
Al-Bukhari 3414 and Muslim 2372
